Fort Bend Friends and Neighbors offer a variety of activities and interest groups for members to participate in during the day and/or eventing.
Monthly
meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at a member’s
home. There are three luncheons throughout the year that are held
at clubs and restaurants. In addition, FBFN has an annual
fundraising event in the fall. The money raised is used for our scholarship
program, which awards college scholarships to Fort Bend County students planning to
attend a college in Fort
Bend
County
and need financial help to achieve this goal.

It’s
Coffee Time
is
held the third Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in a member’s home,
except for the month that our luncheons and fund raising event are
held. This is a wonderful time to meet new friends and to enjoy
those you already know.
Luncheons are held at a
restaurant or country club on the third Thursday in September, February
and May. Past luncheons included entertainment, fine cuisine,
speakers, fashion shows, honored scholarship honorees and even an
“Antique Road Show” where members brought a special item to be
appraised.
For
the past four years, FBFN has awarded college scholarships to students
from Fort Bend County
to enable them to attend college at a campus in Fort Bend
County. The
proceeds from our annual Fundraiser
in the late fall benefit the scholarship fund established by our club.
In May 2009, we awarded six $1,000 scholarships to local students to
help further their education.
